Spring Highlights: Things To Do In April
April is debatably one of the best months of the year. There are not one, but TWO bank holidays making for a four day weekend, spring has officially sprung and everyone is generally in a better mood (probably down to all those sweet, sweet Easter eggs). Another perk of all that time off in April is you have more free time to discover the great things that are happening across the UK. So what are you waiting for? Plan now, REVL later.
Queer British Art
From 5th April, the first exhibition dedicated to queer British art is coming to Tate Britain. It will feature works from 1861 – 1967 that all related to LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) identities. This show marks the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and will include artists David Hockney, Duncan Grant, Dora Carrington and John Singer Sargent.

The Hot 8 Brass Band
If you haven’t heard of The Hot 8 Brass Band, where have you been? You literally can’t listen to these guys without a smile beaming on your face and luckily they’re touring the UK throughout April. Catch them at Camden’s Roundhouse in London and other venues across the UK.
