Where to Celebrate Burns Night in London

Burns Night is fast approaching and for those who aren’t familiar with the Scottish celebration – it honours Robert Burns, the countries most famous poet on the night of his birthday. He was one of the most highly regarded lyricists and after his death he became a huge source of inspiration to the whole country. So what better way to celebrate the legacy of Robert Burns than eating, drinking and dancing the night away on the 25th at one of these bonnie events…

Bourne & Hollingsworth Burns Night Party

Don your finest tartan attire and head to the picturesque Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings in Exmouth Market for an evening of delectable whisky tasting. Commencing with an original whisky cocktail, you’ll go on to try four of Bruichladdich’s best whiskies whilst enjoying the decor of the exclusive Below & Hidden bar where this all takes place.

Cutty Sark Burns Night Celebration

Did you know the Cutty Sark was named after a character in a Robert Burns poem? London’s leading folk club The Nest Collective will be there with their most uplifting and inspiring tunes, and a “small army of virtuoso musicians” to play you Ceilidh music like you’ve never heard before. Dancing shoes essential.

Burns Night – The Star of Bethnal Green

Bethnal Green’s favourite pub will be honouring Robert Burns in their own way with kilts, Irn Bru, tartan, Sean Connery and loads more. You can also expect special entertainment and cocktails, as well as a menu of Scottish favourites.

Burns Night: SAOR PATROL + Patch & The Giant + Ilaria + DJ Carpetface

The evening is sure to be a hoot at Hootenanny in Brixton with an evening of unforgettable live music. Up on the bill is Saor Patrol – charismatic men in kilts with bagpipes, Patch & The Giant singing ballads by the happiest man in England and DJ Carpetface spinning hip-hop classics till 3am.

Burns Night Banquet at HIX
